This Privacy Policy describes how Ara44 handles your personal information, including data obtained when you connect social media accounts for automated publishing.

1. Introduction
Ara44 ("Ara44," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Ara44 platform at https://www.ara44.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
The Service helps businesses and creators run automated video series (story, product, and campaign formats), generate campaign-ready marketing posters, and—when you choose to connect social accounts—publish content to platforms such as TikTok on your behalf.
By using the Service or connecting a social account, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories:
- Account information: name, username, email address, password (stored in hashed form), and account preferences you provide when registering or updating your profile.
- Business and campaign content: business names, logos, product descriptions, product images, series settings (niche, voice, schedule, duration), and other materials you upload or enter to generate videos or posters.
- Generated content: AI-generated scripts, images, videos, captions, hashtags, and metadata produced through the Service.
- Social account connection data: when you authorize a third-party platform (starting with TikTok), we receive OAuth tokens, token expiry information, platform user identifiers, display name, username/handle, profile URL, avatar URL, and granted permission scopes. We store access and refresh tokens securely to publish content on your behalf until you disconnect the account or revoke access.
- Usage and technical data: log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, API requests, error logs, and timestamps needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed by our payment provider; we receive subscription status, plan tier, and transaction references—not full card numbers stored on our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including generating video episodes and marketing posters.
- Authenticate you and manage your account.
- Schedule, generate, and—when enabled—publish video content to social platforms you connect.
- Store and deliver your generated media through our cloud storage infrastructure.
- Process subscriptions and enforce plan limits.
- Respond to support requests and communicate service-related notices.
- Monitor for abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Social Media Integrations
When you choose to connect a social media account (such as TikTok), you are redirected to that platform's authorization page. We only receive the data and permissions you approve. For TikTok, this may include basic profile information and permissions to upload and publish video content to your account.
We use connected account credentials solely to perform actions you request through the Service—for example, posting a generated series episode at your scheduled publish time. We do not sell your social account tokens or use them to post content you have not created or scheduled through Ara44.
You may disconnect a social account at any time from Series Settings in the app or by revoking Ara44's access in your social platform's account settings. After disconnection, we mark the connection as revoked and stop using stored tokens for publishing.
5. AI and Third-Party Service Providers
To deliver the Service, we use trusted third-party providers that process data on our behalf, including:
- AI and media generation providers (e.g., for scripts, images, voice synthesis, and video composition).
- Cloud storage and content delivery providers for uploaded and generated files.
- Authentication and API hosting infrastructure (Bear-BE / Strapi backend).
- Payment processors for subscriptions.
- Social platforms you connect (TikTok and, in future, Instagram, YouTube, and others) when you authorize posting.
These providers are permitted to process your information only as needed to perform services for us and are subject to their own privacy policies for data they control directly.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Generated videos, series configuration, and connected social account records are kept until you delete them, disconnect accounts, or request account deletion.
OAuth tokens for connected social accounts are retained while the connection remains active and are cleared or invalidated when you disconnect or revoke access.
We may retain certain logs and backup copies for a limited period for security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
7. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and storing sensitive tokens in protected backend fields. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and update your account information through your profile and dashboard.
- Disconnect social accounts from Series Settings or via the third-party platform.
- Download generated videos from your series dashboard where available.
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing us at the contact address below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Opt out of non-essential marketing emails using unsubscribe instructions where provided.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in Uganda and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers subject to applicable data protection laws.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
